Day Care

Highwood Kennels Day-care is a great solution for dog owners who are away during the day. Dogs get to enjoy a safe, healthy and fun atmosphere with lots of interaction, both with other dogs and with people. Dogs can participate in play groups, gnaw on a favourite toy, play games and have fun with their dedicated carers. We plan each day to insure that we deliver the utmost in group socialization, fun and provide the greatest benefit to each dog in our care. The point is that they’re not at home for long periods by themselves. We offer two specifically tailored day-care packages.
 

The Alton Towers Day Care Package

Take advantage of our extended hours for dropping off and collecting your dog so you can take advantage of the park’s later opening hours without having to rush back or leave your dog overnight. Our aim for our Alton Towers day care package is to ensure that your dog has a fun and rewarding day with us giving you peace of mind so you can enjoy your day at Alton Towers. Your dog will be allocated a kennel for the day with all baskets and bedding supplied. He will be fed as per your instructions and enjoy two off leash play sessions throughout the day. If your dog is sociable please let us know and he can join a play group with other doggie friends. Our extended drop off and collection hours are between 7.30am-10am and collection between 4.00pm-8.00pm.
 

The Day Care Training Package

Our training package is tailored to clients who require extra training for their dog. If your dog pulls on the lead, doesn’t come when he’s called or just needs to learn the basics then we can help you. Our day care training day is every Wednesday which runs in conjunction with our dog training classes. One of the Hooligan Hounds dog trainers will handle your dog in the training class. Your dogs’ handler will explain what your dog has learnt and what you need to do to follow through with the training. Our dog trainer and canine behaviourist will assess your dog and give individual advice on training progression and specific behavioural problems. This package comprises a kennel for the day with bedding and food supplied, and a one hour training session in the class with a handler. Drop off and collection within normal hours from 8.00am-10am and 4.00pm-6.00pm.
